The NewtonPAC will host a presentation on Assistive Technologies on Tuesday, November 18 at from 7:30-9 pm. Kayla McAllister, the Assistive Technologies specialist for the Newton Public Schools, will present on available technologies, particularly related to executive function, and will discuss the difference between an assistive technology evaluation and a consult. In the second half of the presentation, Ms. McAlister will lead an iPad workshop, showcasing applications that are helpful to a range of special needs for the iPad. Participants are invited to bring their iPad to the meeting.
The presentation and workshop will take place in room 210 of the Education Center at 100 Walnut St. Light refreshments and networking will begin at 7:15, and the presentation will start at 7:30 pm.
